Dr. Tarun Sharma has finished his neurosurgical training from Postgraduate institute of medical education & research -P.G.I. Chandigarh in 2008.
After finishing is neurosurgical residency he went for a clinical fellowship at division of neuro-oncology- university of Toronto (Canada). He also had an
opportunity for Visiting fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Hospital for sick-kids , Toronto (Canada). He has worked as assistant professor neurosurgery
at Indra Gandhi Medical college Shimla (H.P.). He has also worked as consultant neurosurgeon at Fortis hospital Mohali (Punjab) & Fortis hospital Noida (U.P.)
He is practicing in Faridabad since last 6 years and before joining Metro hospital Faridabad he has worked as senior consultant & head of the neuro-spine
surgery unit at Sarvodaya hospital & QRG hospital Faridabad . He is the first neurosurgeon in Faridabad region to implement the technique of Awake Craniotomy
for resection of brain tumors. He has many publications to his credit and chapters in books. He had a rich experience of neurosurgery & performed more than
fifteen thousand brain & spine surgeries. Dr. Tarun Sharma has expertise in all kinds of brain & spine surgeries. He has special interest is in awake craniotomy
for brain tumors, endoscopic neurosurgery & minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.
